Welcome to 2008! After the festivities of the holiday period, we at the Dublin Java User Group are looking forward to another set of excellent Java events in this fair city of ours. The forthcoming year will see us hosting evening lectures, master classes and of course another conference!

To kick off this year's activities DubJUG is giving you the chance to battle with your colleagues in a Java smack down! Join us next Tuesday at 7:30pm upstairs at The Duke pub on Duke St (between Grafton St and Dawson St) for the first ever Dublin Java Pub Quiz!

The night promises to kick start your thinking after all that Christmas pudding to test your knowledge of the Java ecosystem. Questions will be pitched at all levels, so no excuses! Of course it's not all hard work, as we provide a friendly atmosphere to network, and bounce the usual questions off your peers after the quiz. Register your team of 2-5 by emailing jakub.korab at dubjug.org by this Friday. Space is limited so get in early!
