IJTC 2007 is a wrap. What a week, exhilerating and exhausting at the same time, but at the end of the show somebody had to make a complaint. Summoning some last reserves of energy, Barry (Mr Organizer) held back the expletives, waiting for the assault, only to be told that there were too many good sessions and it was impossible to go to all the good ones.
What a compliment, no apology needed, and that is exactly the reaction we wanted. We wanted to bring great content to Dublin and Ireland. We wanted to get developers talking to each other. We wanted to showcase some of the great projects that are out there and hear about some of the great stuff happening locally, and we got all of that in spades.
Listening as a fly on the wall around the Cineworld complex and getting feedback from delegates and speakers during the week it sounds like most people got good value from the show and left happy. Heck one guy even got a complete app working during one of the sessions on the basis of the presentation! What more could you want?
As a community event and a cooperation between so many we owe a big debt of gratitude to everyone who helped, to the sponsors, to our partner IrishDev, to the staff and management of Cineworld who were exteremely helpful and facilitating and of course all of the delegates who ultimately made the event a great success.
Most of the session slides are now on-line at the Dublin JUG site, enjoy.
