Skills Required Technical: Required: Technical analysis experience (4 years): defining interface specifications and analysing requirements specifications Programming experience (4 years) – Java (J2SE) with experience of XML, threading & concurrency management, performance tuning, Junit, CVS & Eclipse Oracle SQL experience (2 years) • General o Familiarity with Telecommunications Network Elements o Knowledge of Revenue Assurance concepts o Experience with development methodologies o Understanding of source control principles (e.g. CVS) • 2 years+ o UNIX scripting experience, intermediate level  Usage of awk, sed, grep, cat and standard bash scripting o XML editing • 4 years+ o SQL Skills  Ability to query, update and create tables, perform joins, use SQL functions, apply indexes.  Understanding of Relational Database structure. Highly Desirable: Telecoms experience. Analysis of call and/or subscriber records, mediation devices, number normalisation, billing and rating engines. Telecoms Subscriber provisioning systems. ASN.1 file formats. Business Objects Personal: Required: An absolute must is a strong “problem/puzzle-solving attitude”. The ability to take a problem, analyse it and work through to a solution through logical deduction. 2-3 years (internal/external) customer-facing experience - good customer facing manner essential, as well as excellent communication skills. 2-3 years team-leading experience and experience in mentoring new/junior people.
