Abstract:
Delivering scalable systems from standardized, lightweight Java technology for the mobile operator market can be a tough job. In this session hear about the challenges of dealing with extremely short timescales, the requirements of being able to service millions of users on operator networks, and how Dublin company, NewBay have solved these problems for mobile operators around the globe.
Speaker: Stephen Farrell
Stephen Farrell is chief technologist with NewBay, a leading developer of mobile operator server products. Stephen is also a research fellow in Trinity College Dublin working and teaching mainly on delay tolerant networking (DTN) and security. Stephen is co-chair of the Internet Research Task Force's Delay Tolerant Networking Research Group (DTNRG), and of the Internet Engineering Task Force's Domain Keys Internet Mail (DKIM) working group. Stephen was previously a product architect for an Irish Siemens subsidiary (SSE) and was director of research for Baltimore Technologies.
